Heartbreak High message board

hi all

i have had 2 people ask if i can do this for them on dvd. at the moment i am still downloading it myself as its 40+ dvds and takes time. i have nealy finished got about 2 days left of downloading. i have watched 25 episides now and everything is perfect with them to watch.

now in the 2 emails i got they asked me if i can do them a set of dvds if they pay me for doing this would it be ok. i was not expecting emails like this as i put my email address on here to try to help everyone download and get them thereselves like i have. now i have talk to my mum to tell her why people are mad and wont to get them as there not released on dvd only in germany and not in english. my mum is happy to help out and do a couple of sets to those who cant download as we understand how hard it is as we found it very hard to do. the prob is with us helping people is trust as we dont know anyone of you and you dont know us. how would it work if you was to buy a set as i cant afford to do all that hard work of getting them on dvd to not be paid. if i had the trust of one person maybe they can say how happy they are when i send them the dvds cos they trusted me.

Important <<<< i remember about a year ago when i had some odd episodes on vhs tape and one of the stars in heartbreak high asked me if i had this one episode she star in. she was really hopeing i had this one episode as she wanted to watch it and show her family. if you are reading this i now have them all and if you send me an email i will be so happy to get the episode you want and send it to you.

can someone tell me if they have downloaded from the site i gave as i want to know if i helped people out as i got an email saying they cant download it but i am downloading them easy now. i will try to make a video of me downloading the dvds so i can give you a step by step guild and put on youtube. once i get round to this i will put the link on here for all to see. i still so badly want to know if someone can post saying your downloading them from the place i gave. hey! i just want a reply

For starters: you don't have every episode on dvd.

HBH is still being uploaded by a 'real' HBH fan.
Since when did you offer a HBH cast member an episode? when? and who?

The only truth you speak is where to get these dvds.

was a long time ago when the star asked me it was when i first join this fansite. i cant remember who the person was but they was only in 1 or 2 episodes and i did have an email from them at the time as i had about 20 episodes on vhs tape. she only wanted the episode she was in think it was 87 but not 100% sure as it was a very long time ago. i dont know if people will remember this but about 2 years ago there was someone saying he had every dvd every episode and was selling dvds to fans for £175 a set well at the time i paid that money and never got my dvds and i was pissed off that i was con out of my money. i saw others bought the dvds at the time but never got them. i have not been on this fansite since that time and gave up my hope of ever getting heartbreak high till i was talking to a friend i made from france. dont know how we got to me saying how much i wish i could get heartbreak high but i told him i tryed for years and he said he bet he can get it. he found them on that newswebsite and said i could get them. now i have never downloaded off anywhere but ares and thats simple download and burn. this newswebsite involves useing newsite but getting a program to download and that was all new to me oh and the uncompressing files. after my friend helping online step by step to teach me how to get them i have not stop downloading and now have 49 dvds. the person above with a responce saying a fan is uploading them i think is right as it was 47 dvds but now 49 but its going to be every episode as its upto about 190 episodes now.

when i started downloading these dvds and i tryed my first dvd and it worked i was so happy smileing and overjoyed knowing i could download them and i thought back to how long i waited for this moment as i grew up watching this and it has so many memerys for me but i thought of the fans and this site and everyone that felt the pain i had wanting them and put this on here thinking i could help as i know what this means to all the true fans of heartbreak high. so far in responces it looks like i wasted my time trying to help but least i tryed and thought of others and wanted to help out.

just a few more words --- i am watching them every night and on episide 38 i saw nick and jodie episode where nick did everything to try to get back with jodie he even got in a limo and was singing to her. jodie split up with nick cos she could not watch him fight as a boxer and get hurt and jodie was going to america and was at the airport going to leave but watched nick getting hurt in boxing on the tv and she knew at that moment she loved him and went running to his boxing match. she got at the boxing match and nick was losing but he saw jodie say she loves him and nick put in a huge effort and was then winning the the fight but something happened and the other fighter hit back and knocked nick out. southgate the teacher and jodie and friends run into the ring and jodie shouted out get a doctor please and it ended. i was crying watching this and was not sure if nick was ok so watched episode 39 and found out nick died

i am watching heartbreak high and its still as good as i remember it was and i am a true fan who even has hbh << in my email addy. I JUST WANT FANS TO BE ABLE TO WATCH THIS LIKE I AM!

Try Usenet, you can get a pay server for just 1 month at Eweka for 7 dollar/Euro and download 1 month. That makes 54 DVD's full of HBH for 7 dollar/Euro ... sounds like a bargain to me.

I've bought the dvd's of someone else all 54 of them. Really good price and the quality is not bad. Do the dvd's you downloaded have subtitles? Because I'm from Holland and my dvd's have the dutch subs as they were taped years ago from dutch television. I was just wondering if those were the same eps that you are downloading.

Hi! I think these are the same episodes as there are subtitles. But the quality is really good, I expected much worse.
Unfortunately, I do not think you can find the full episodes without subtitles. It's great to already have those.

I would also like to make a proposal : why not set up a weeding system on the board here? I mean, respect to all of you who paid good money to receive those DVD's or invested their precious bandwith to download all the eps, but there is a better way for everyone here to have all seasons of HBH with minimal cost involved. Let me explain...

<Con Bordino Mode> For those of you who don't know what it is, weeding is a system where the person who has the DVD's sets up a thread on this board. He/she agrees to copy all DVD's and to send them to the first person who PM's them with their address and details. Usually, in Live recording trade circles, two copies are made, but seeing as HBH consists of a shedload of DVD's, one copy per person will be more than enough. The person who will receive the copies will then be announced on the thread by the person who started the thread, so they can then be PM'ed by other board members, for whom this person in his/her turn will have to copy her copies onto DVD's and send them to the next person who PM's them first. And so on and so forth, until everyone has their DVD's, is happy and can at least satisfy their need for HBH until whoever currently owns the broadcasting rights to HBH decides to do us a favour and releases all the seasons worldwide in a region free box set. Hell, at this point in time I wouldn't even care if there weren't any extras on them, if only I could own all the eps (well, in my case, at least until the end of Season 4 as I'm more a Hartley High than a Hartley Heights era fan :P).
Yes, I know there is still a cost involved, because everyone would have to pay postage costs, but at least this way the burden is shared, it's far less then what money hungry pirates would ask and everyone would be happy and having the same quality to watch. Just a matter of coming together as HBH fans and taking care of our own, which I feel was a moral lesson in many an HBH episode.

Alternatively, if people don't want to share their hard earned DVD's, I have this suggestion : if anyone has good quality VHS tapes with all eps on them and they're willing to part with them for a while, I would like to ask them to send them to me and I will transfer them from VHS to high quality digital (I may even be able to clean up the sound). I'll then put them on DVD and start the weed myself, with the catch that the person who was nice enough to send me their treasured stash of HBH VHS tapes would get the first copies, together with the original tapes, which I'll of course send back when I'll be done. Eps without subtitles would be the best, of course, but if they aren't, I don't think anyone's gonna complain.
Mind you, I would be doing this in my spare time and with 210 eps to transfer and clean up, it could take a while, so I might start a weed per season. What do you think? As a rule, I'm not a fan of pirating, but if the current owners of the rights to HBH can't or won't satisfy the demand for an official DVD release, this is the only way to make us fans happy. Again : it's all about taking care of our own. So, what do you think?</Con Bordino Mode>

P.S. : I have all of Season One, plus the first episode (39) of Season Two, which can be found on Rapidshare via the website http://www.rapid.org. You would need to register there and do a search for 'Heartbreak High'. Also, having a Rapidshare Premium account would be advised if you want to download them quick smart. These files are about twice as big than the ones I found on the Usenet groups (which for some reason I can't download), around 700MB per episode, so the quality is rather good. The downside is that the colours are a bit bleak and the subtitles are in Serbian (which, surprisingly I was able to read, even in Cyrillic, because I speak a little Slovene (which isn't even written in Cyrillic!)). But all of that didn't bother me one bit. HBH as a language course; I like it! ;-)
